Funding

CHTMs'
Funding History
CHTM
was created by the State of New Mexico in 1983 and received substantial
state funding during its first 5 years. By 1991 external research
funding had grown to nearly $6M and state funding was phased out.
CHTM's annual budget is now in excess of $7M. More than 80% of this
funding comes from external research contracts from government agencies
such as AFOSR, DARPA and from US industry. Approximately $800K is
provided by the University of New Mexico.
