AREZOU KHOSHAKHLAGH

In my research project I am focusing on the growth of GaSb QDs and their applications in the active region of devices like a laser structure. I also work on the testing part of the materials that I grow such as PL, AFM, XRD and SEM. My interests in nanoscience include the growth of GaSb QDs by MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy) and their applications in devices.  Also I am interested to combine the GaSb QD studies with the InGaAs technology to try to optimize the emitted wavelengths from the grown materials.

I am working under Dr. Diana Huffaker supervision as an Electrical Engineering PhD student at the center for high technology.  I would like to continue my research interests with my future career goal which I plan to work as a university professor.

The NSMS IGERT Fellowship is supported by The National Science Foundation and The National Cancer Institute.
