 Job Description:

Multiple openings are available for post-doctoral fellows in Prof. Sanjay Krishna’s group at the Center for High Technology Materials (CHTM), University of New Mexico. In the past few years, CHTM has developed world-class optoelectronics and microelectronics research programs. Research in Prof. Krishna’s group involves studying the physics of III-V semiconductor materials and their application to mid infrared optoelectronic devices. These positions involve investigation of the III-V epitaxial materials growth, fabrication and characterization of semiconductor materials for mid infrared detectors and focal plane arrays. In the research-conducive environment offered by CHTM, it is hoped that the post-doctoral fellows will be able to develop and hone their research skills and also provide mentoring to the students in Prof. Krishna’s research group. It must be noted that the researchers would be given a lot of freedom to undertake independent research. Every effort will be made to provide the candidates with mentorship to achieve their career goals. However, in order to justify the inclusion of a senior researcher to the funding agency, sufficient progress on the project is expected.

Eligibility:

PhD in Electrical Engineering/Materials Science/Physics or a closely related field with thorough knowledge about III-V optoelectronic materials and devices. Candidates with experience will be preferred. One of the positions require the post doctoral fellow to be a US Citizen.
