Background Professor Malloy received the BSEE degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1978, the MSEE degree in 1980 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 1984. He is currently a member of the Center for High Technology Materials and an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM.

He is a member of the editorial advisory board for the CRC Critical Reviews in Solid State and Materials Sciences, a member of the IEEE Electron Devices Society , a member of the Materials Research Society , and a member of the American Vacuum Society.
